How It Works

beforeIshopTM is the one stop you need to make before heading out to do your chores. While compiling your shopping list, we'll compare prices for you and show you in-store promotions and exclusive money-off vouchers and coupons. Before you know it you'll have saved time, effort and money by making the decisions before you arrive in store, and bringing your money-off coupons with you!

Why should I register?

Joining the beforeIshopTM community is optional, but there are even more benefits for our members. We will notify you when there are great new offers available and some offers and coupons will be exclusive.

If you want to save your shopping list either to finish working on later, or to use again the next time you visit the site, then we will require your registration- so we know where to file your list safely. Or if you want to create and save multiple lists, for different types of shopping expedition, then we'll need you to register too.

We promise to protect your confidentiality, and will never release or sell your personal information to any other party.

What happens if I registering using Facebook?

You have the option to use your Facebook account to auto-fill your registration details on our join-up form. It's a one-click to fill, one-off use of your info. We will not have any access to your Facebook account, and we will not go posting anything to your wall. Although we hope you'll do that yourself, to tell your friends about our great service!

How much can I save?

With lots of offers, there's lots of savings. Our systems update every night while you're asleep (well you should be!) to bring you the latest supermarket promotions. But if you just want to see the exclusive coupons, then you can do that too, and have fun with the brands you know and love as well as some we think you will like.

What are all the different types of offers?

There are lots of different types of offers on beforeIshop™. Here's a guide to how they work:

As you compile your shopping list, we will show you the current best deals in-store for those products. Whether its buy one get on free on one brand, or 2 for 3 on another, you can work out the best option for you and make the decisions before you get to the aisle. No more standing around like a ninny trying to figure out what's a better deal! Your shopping list will be updated to remind you which product, and what quantity you need to buy to get the deal.

We will also recommend some exclusive offers which you'll only find on beforeIshopTM. These are coupons and discount vouchers that you can print from bIs at the same time as printing your shopping list. The number of coupons you have printed is highlighted at the top of your list and the offers that you have coupons for are also highlighted on your list. So you don't forget to actually buy them!

beforeIshopTM brings you up to date information on new products and in-store deals so that you can make the decisions before you get there.

Will my local store accept the coupons?

beforeIshopTM coupons, powered by Coupons.com, are accepted by all major UK grocery retailers provided they carry the SafeCoupons logo. However, it is up to individual store managers to decide whether or not they accept some coupons. For more information and to verify your coupons go to www.SafeCoupons.co.uk.

How do I update my profile?

You can update your login details, manage your account subscriptions and update your contact details in "My Account". Don't forget to update your preferences so that we can provide you with the most relevant offers and updates. Tell us about yourself and the people living in your household and don't forget your pets - we've got savings for them too!

Subscribe or unsubscribe from email newsletters

Managing your subscription to our money-saving newsletter is easy. Just select the "My Account" tab and check or uncheck the boxes in the communications section. If you have changed your email address and want to continue getting our mailings, update your information in the "My Account" page too. Don't forget to Save Changes!

Why won't my coupons print?

If you're experiencing problems printing coupons there may be a few reasons:

  1. You don't have a default printer or your printer isn't ready

    You must have a default printer selected for your computer, and it must be a real, paper-based printer, not a virtual fax machine or file printer or PDF creator. Follow the instructions that came with your computer for setting up your printer. Also, make sure your printer is turned on, loaded with paper, has enough toner or ink, etc. If your printer is a multi-function device (print, fax, copy, scan) please make sure the default printer is the print function, not the fax function.

  2. Your operating system or browser is incompatible

    beforeIshop™ and coupon printing is currently supported on XP, Vista and Windows 7 when used with Internet Explorer 7+, FireFox 3+ and Chrome. Coupon printing is also supported on Macintosh when using Safari and Firefox using OS X 10.3 and higher.

  3. You did not install the Coupon Printer

    In order to print coupons you may need to download and install the Coupon Printer. It's free, safe and easy to use. It does not install any form of spyware or adware or collect any personal information about you. Once it has been downloaded and installed, a process that only takes a few seconds, you will be able to print coupons from our site and from emails you might receive. Is my printer supported?

Please note that ONLY paper based printers are supported. Flash, Adobe/PDF, Queue stackers, File printers etc. are not supported due to fraud protection measures.

Please check your printer settings to make sure your default printer is a regular printer. The coupon must be printed to paper. Some printer drivers (this will be displayed in the error message) have an option to print to a file that cannot be circumvented. For security reasons, these printers are not supported. If you have a multifunction printer (fax, copy, print), please make sure the printer function is the default printer on your computer.

Why couldn't I install the Coupon Printer?

If you are experiencing problems installing the Coupon Printer there may be a few reasons:

  1. You may not have permission to download programs on your computer or you are using software that blocks the installation

    If you are trying to print coupons at work or from a computer at a library, Internet cafe or university, you may not have permission to download and install programs onto the computer you are using. This may be true even if you've downloaded and installed other files. Contact your network administrator for more information. If you have a home computer, you may find it easier to access our coupons there.

    You might also be running software that prevents installation on your computer. Please make sure to turn off any anti-virus software or any anti-spyware or adware software. While we have attempted to work with most of the major publishers of such software to ensure that our Coupon Printer is not blocked, there may be programs that block the installation, or put up a warning that you are about to install a program. You should choose to allow the installation.

  2. The security settings in your browser are set too high

    If you receive warnings or errors that an attempt to install and ActiveX control (Internet Explorer) or a plugin was blocked, or are asked for permission to install a program, you may need to change your browser's security settings to allow installation of these types of controls. Also, make sure to click the appropriate buttons in any dialog boxes that appear to allow the installation. Modern browers make you jump through a few hoops to install plugins, but it's worth it!

  3. Your operating system or browser is incompatible
